Newborn in tummy-to-tummy hold

This is the second baby we have used our Earthslings with, and our two month old spends large chunks of every day in his sling. He has never been a sound sleeper when still, so the sling is a lifesaver because we pop him in and go about our day and he is comforted and happy. We never have to worry about being quiet so as not to wake the baby- when he is in the sling, he feels safe and will easily sleep through loud noises, parties, play dates, and older siblings.

We have also used our Earthsling as a blanket and a nappy changing surface. We have an extra in the car at all times, just in case- as it is simple fabric it takes up no space at all. I love that my husband and I can easily transfer the baby between us when he is in the sling, and if I have to go somewhere in the car and he is asleep, I can slip off the sling with him still in it, buckle him in and go, unbuckle him when I get there and slip the sling back over my head and arm- he is still in it so I don't have to disturb him by taking him in and out.

My 2 1/2 year old daughter still fits comfortably in the Earthsling in the hip carry, so they were definitely a good investment.

Earthsling saves the day. I was at a loss as to what to do about my bub who didn't fit any of the commercial baby carriers we had bought, but who liked to be carried around and close to me. She cried a lot and was particularly demanding whenever I put her down, which was distressing to me as a new mum. I was recommended an Earthsling by a friend and so purchased one on her good advice and didn't look back. My little girl slept in it, fed in it, travelled in it and discovered the world from her protected cocoon. Consequently, she has become a happy, secure baby with a mother who found sanity in being able to carry her baby around sling-style. The Earthsling was reasonably priced, practical, cool, comfortable, stylish and most of all, soothing for my unsettled bub.

I own many slings but above all, my favourite is my Earthsling. It's the easiest to wash and dry and it folds up small enough to pop into my handbag. It's the most versatile and comfortable sling I own for both when they are little and toddlers. I used mine for 2 years with my daughter and am looking forward to using it again with a new babe on the way. I love Earthslings so much I get them for all my friends as new baby presents.

I have to say Sam, that I am pleasantly surprised with the Earthsling in that it is a lot more comfortable than I expected.

I have just started using an Earthsling, although have tried different types over the years. The Earthsling is one of those items that amazes you with it's simplicity, and yet it does everything you require and more! It's comfortable, practical and versatile and allows the wearer to be very hands-free. I would definitely recommend it to anyone."

Little girl with kid sling

I purchased my Earthsling when my solid boy was already nearly two years old. It was a life saver whether it was tripling the distance I could walk, or giving me back use of two arms at the same time as having him close to me when he needed it. Such times included just after waking up, or being in a crowded place, and amongst strangers where he felt insecure.

Catching a plane with the sling when he was only two made the airport and aeroplane easy to negotiate. I could take him from the car asleep and put him in the sling, at 3 yrs old, and go to several shops, including accessing my wallet!! He would keep sleeping as he knew he was close to his mum.

Now nearly four years old and over 23 kilos, I still used it last weekend at a busy Expo. I wanted to walk endlessly around the stalls, but there were people everywhere, no place for a small child. It would not have been possible without the sling to give me back use of two arms, despite holding my darling close. I carry him on the hip, and move him around to my back if I need to write something with my right hand.

A perfect gift for other mothers, or travellers, or those who don't want all that baby plastic and clutter, or expense.

I will never part with my Earthsling, and I know it is durable enough for several children and many years.
